Your Apple ID has been disabled!?

After I had to change my cc# due to a security breach, I can't down load new apps or update the old ones. I am logged onto iTunes, and apple with the new info, but iPad says- "your apple I D. has been disabled." yikes!

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Indonesia iTunes uses IDR. I just said thousands of dollars to relate international readers.

2,000 plus are for Apps only! That I collected since they are available in iTunes store Indonesia (2010 i think)

music & music video only less than 100. movies I believe only bought 1. too expensive (IDR169,000 if I'm not mistaken)..

I am not making this up, if that's what you are thinking.

the solution I got so far, is that i need to sell all the devices related to my AppleID & credit card, and use the new fresh one!

Hello, fellow "ID DISABLED" ians!

My id was disabled about 3-4 days ago and resetting id, password, email etc., does not work! I called support and asked for Apple Security, they did not allow me to talk with Security personally but in turn contacted them and we had a three way! (Not in the good sense either). They asked if I could think of any reason apple would disable my ID. And, yes, there was. I made a purchase (thought i had enough) using a itunes card that did not have enough to cover the purchase amount and they charged the remaining 1.98 to my CC which (my bad) forgot I authorized. (darn alzheimers) I did not recognize the charge at first and disputed it with my CC provider. Thus ticking off itunes and then YOUR APPLE ID HAS BEEN DISABLED. Apple representatives alone cannot help you with this (I was even told by one that my iPad was hacked!) You have to request to speak with Apple Security. And if your in the wrong, admit it like I did. OWN YOUR MISTAKES. Well, within 10 min. after explaining and apologizing my ID IS ENABLED by a very friendly voice on the other end of the line.

Call Apple using any phone as long as you have your email password and correct phone info on fthe phone you are wanting to fix and they can re-enable your phone within around 10-15 minutes depending on the time of day. 🙂 trust me it works!

Unless your AppleID has been disabled for certain reasons such as violating the iTunes store Terms of Use (and other reasons).

TERMINATION

If you fail, or Apple suspects that you have failed, to comply with any of the provisions of this Agreement, Apple, at its sole discretion, without notice to you may: ℹ terminate this Agreement and/or your Account, and you will remain liable for all amounts due under your Account up to and including the date of termination; and/or (ii) terminate the license to the software; and/or (iii) preclude access to the iTunes Service (or any part thereof).

Apple reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the iTunes Service (or any part or content thereof) at any time with or without notice to you, and Apple will not be liable to you or to any third party should it exercise such rights.

====================================

It was pretty vague because Apple won't tell you which provision you violated if they suspected..

They won't, and in fact they don't even have the information.

Already went throught 2 managers, and both acknowledged they don't know why, even while it was caused by someone from the support when I phoned to unlock the account previously blocked for security reason (ie : preventing intrusion)

Even if they are at fault, they won't do a thing : account definitly locked, can't get the information, and have order to not do so, so move away.

I am having almost an exact problem with my Apple ID.

It all started when I couldn't complete an in-app purchase and I emailed them to fix the issue. A Luther replied stating that I was found to be in violations of the Terms and Conditions but they could not tell me which of the Terms I allegedly violated. I emailed them again stating that I did read the Terms and Conditions and am of the view that I did not and am not in breach of the Terms, demanding them to provide the exact Terms that I am in alledgedly in breached of.

I now get a much shorter and not so polite email saying I should review it again and fix whatever violations I've supposedly violated.

SERIOUSLY. Do they even hear themselves? How is anyone going to fix anything without knowning the cause? And this is supposedly from a company which pride itself on its Support service? It just doesn't seem to sit right that it can just terminate any agreement by an alleged breach.....

I have been an Apple user for close to 10 years now. Seriously without an iTunes account, especially the manner in which 'm deprived of it, I see no value in continuing using Apple.
