Sep 7, 2012 12:49 PM in response to Frustr4tedby Ho4130,I just got a call from someone at Apple in the security area. They said that they are stepping up the security measures for customer purchasing and that they have been working on it for a few weeks now. She said as of right now they can't activate anyone's account until they are finished and she did not have a date. She said she's very sorry for the inconvenience but this will be much better when they are done. She also said there will be updates on the Apple site to keep everyone informed on what's going on. I'm still shocked that someone actually called me and explained what is going on.

Sep 7, 2012 1:28 PM in response to Vinmarby Rikalu,My problem is different - I don't get an error message, it's just that the password entry window just blinks and returns empty each time I enter my (correct) apple ID.

Sep 7, 2012 4:53 PM in response to DrNoirby Louis S 1230,This thread makes me feel better and not better at the same time.
my 6 yr old tried to crack my password one to many times and now my account is on lockdown.
the customer service at itunes is non existant!!
not only are they not helpful, they have to idea or timeline as to when they will get the account working again, we are at the end of the first week. hard to beleive a compnay as big as apple cannot give better customer support. and taking weeks to fix a problem that at the end of the day WE PAY FOR!!!!
oh my..........

Sep 7, 2012 5:03 PM in response to DrNoirby eirbjorn,It has been a few days over a month since my first reply from iTunes support, over two months since my deactivation.
I wish I had the resources and ability to just switch to a different tablet and phone.
My goal right now is to get away from Apple as soon as possible.
I can't rely on a company who does things like this.
