Dec 5, 2012 7:02 PM in response to DrNoirby edscape,So with all these complaints Apple does not seem to fix anything but people continue to purchase this crap as I am sitting on hold trying to get my Account fixed I am glad I won my iPAD and did not pay money for this headache. What I find very disturbing is when I tried to resolve the issue online using the help I was able to log into my account they first thing I was asked to do was update my CC info worked fine but still my account is disabled when I try to do anything on my iPAD. I sure the Microsoft Surface takes off so Apple has some comptition which will force them to get their act together. Oh wait I forgot the Apple Cool-Aid drinkers won't will still march in lockstep.

Dec 19, 2012 5:21 PM in response to DrNoirby icafe23,Regarding to this issue, i did try to call Apple almost 10times but they did get my call 3times but when i started talking about my apple id has been disable, they keep transfer me one to another one or hold my call for about 5 to 30mns and I can feel that they do not welcome me in this matter.
the representatives are not friendly, and act like we are begging them even we are the victim of their weakness and faults.
Apple is a giant company but always make trouble to customers. I also got an email from their customer support but when i request he/she to solve my problem but there is no reply until now. At least they must tell us the reason why the applie id has been disable and provide us appropriate solution so that we can continue to support them. I spend over thousands of USD to buy good application and game from them like dictionaries for both iphone and macbook.
My royalty to Apple is nothing beside blocking my account. Apple are too funny with this matters!
**** gift from Apple to everyone in this Christmas!!!!!

Dec 26, 2012 5:17 PM in response to DrNoirby crk0694,hey mine says the same thing. that its just been disabled. now my boyfriend tried to put my ipod on his account before when my dad canceled the credit card for my account. so when i went to log in and redeeme my itunes car money it made me sign into my account and then it says my password was wrong so i went through and changed it, the whole 9 yards. so then it says i had 23 dollars on there. which i later found out that i had money on my account. but it added my 15 dollar card i was trying to redeeme. so tthen. i was like okay cool. it said i had to verify my payment information and i tried to do that. only then to remember that the card was canceled.. my brother figured out how to do it without a card. choose none. and then it only shows ur street adress and such. so i went to go make a purchase and it looked like it was going to go but then all of a sudden the "ur apple ID account is disabled came up and i dont know what to do.

Dec 28, 2012 12:53 PM in response to Tiaan Korfby babowa,Certified pro and representative.
Out of curiosity: You are a representative of which company? And a certified pro of ??
-
Dec 28, 2012 1:25 PM in response to babowaby Tiaan Korf,Both at Apple.
The term representative is usually used for people who oversee Apple Stores and apple authorized retailers. You are given additional training even if you are a pro to become a rep. So it's like if a store has a major problem they would call on a rep to give additional assistance in shops businesses etc.
Hope that clears it out :)

Jan 2, 2013 11:42 PM in response to DrNoirby edharkey,Same problem here. And before Mr. Chris CA chimes in with his oh-so-encouraging sarcasm and condescension, I've already visited Apple's support and jumped through their hoops.
You want details?
This all started Christmas Eve when I noticed over $200 in iTunes store charges for the Simpsons Tapped Out game, which subsquently overdrafted my acct. and alerted me via email.
Called my bank first.
Was given an 800 number for Apple Support.
That number had an automated answering system that simply tells you to go to their website (A BIG pet peeve of mine...).Visited the support page.
Filed a claim.
Called my bank back after waiting a half hour (we were now late getting out the door to visit my husband's family for Christmas!!!!), they agreed to put a temporary credit on my acct so I at least wouldn't be charged overdraft fees until Apple decides to not refund my money.I got an automated email from a support rep, named "Eve", in which she pretty much insinuates I'm either lying about the unauthorized purchases or that I'm just really friggin stupid regarding on how Apple crap works, since the purchases could only be "made from within the app." And then promptly tells me to ask my "household members" about how they've used my account. First of all, I have a husband and a cat. That's it. My husband doesn't even know my password. He uses the iPad ONLY for email and facebook, all of which he uses Safari for, and not any third party apps that require or allow purchases.
Anyway, we had to go! I couldn't stay on the computer all day just so I could explain to Apple that SOMETHING IS OBVIOUSLY WRONG! I had listed the problem in detail when I first sent the claim. I didn't have time to reiterate and expound on my situation. Especially on Christmas Eve.
I then get an email the next day... on Christmas. Part of me felt bad for "Eve" since she was having to work Christmas Day, but the other part of me was kind of miffed that they'd email a follow up with no help or solutions. Basically just saying "HEY, CAN YOU EMAIL ME BACK AGAIN PLEASE?"
I sent a concise, civil message that just stated "Could you please give me until after Christmas?" I guess I should have been more vague and said "until after the Holidays" because lo & behold, I get another email bright and early, the day after Christmas, which said,
"Hello ----,
This is Eve again. Thank you for writing back to me and I hope this email reaches you in good spirits.
Etta, I understand that you haven't had the time to provide me the information that I've requested so please take your time and reply with the requested information at your earliest convenience so I can ensure that your issue has been taken care of.
I look forward to receiving your reply. Until next time, take care and please have yourself a great day, Etta."
First of all, passive aggressive sarcasm is my first language. I know it well. I speak it well. And I **** sure read it well. So don't think I missed that first line.
Secondly, I had provided the information BEFORE she requested it.
So fast forward to today. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day are finally over. We're back home, we're not having to run around with our heads cut off. Now, I did not take the iPad with me on the holiday travel, so it's been sitting here at home, with no company but my cat. So of course, it has to have updates to the apps. This is when I find that my "AppleID has been disabled" and I cannot update ANYTHING. So I follow all the steps to the other disabled-ID-due-to-security-reasons rigamarole, just in case. Nothing. Still can't do anything or update.
So now that I can finally sit down, make screen shots, highlight unauthorized purchases on my online bank statements and match them to the ones in my iTunes purchase history, I'm stuck with a dead AppleID and a very upset husband (he's upset about the money, not the AppleID). I'm wondering how fast this will be resolved (or not) and if I'll have to take a big gouge due to the fact that it seems Apple wants to blame this on EA Games (who runs the Simpsons Tapped Out game).
OH, AND, I contacted EA Games. But of course, like the past times I've contacted them, they never reply. Ever.
Apple and I have had an okay relationship. I used to be hardcore PC back in the day, but eventually became dual platform simply becuase I recognize there are some things that Apple products CAN do better. But the more I deal with the iPad and the crappy iTunes stuff, the more I just want to get a Droid tablet and be done with it. I've never had or wanted an iPhone (too many witnessed problems with my friends', boss', and other family's phones!!!!), my last iPod was stolen nearly 6 months ago, and I only use my Macbook for browsing and a little bit of photoshop here and there these days since I no longer record and mix. I think it's about time I get off the Apple/Mac teat.

Jan 3, 2013 6:01 AM in response to edscapeby Sean The Mac Man,Okay, I had this same exact problem.
The email thing is just a big WASTE of time! You need to call apple support and then a representative will help you.
Call this number: 1 (800) 275-2273
That is the security team for Apple.
Hoped this helped!
