Q: Your Apple ID has been disabled!?

After I had to change my cc# due to a security breach, I can't down load new apps or update the old ones. I am logged onto iTunes, and apple with the new info, but iPad says- "your apple I D. has been disabled." yikes!

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

This is a prett old thread, and im sure so,ebody has said this before, but take a look at

    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2446

For sure, from a computer, goto apple.com, and try to log onto your account.  If you cannot, follow whatever links are presented there.  They turned you off for a reason, you just need to figure out what the reason is, and fix it.

I already posted this. But If it still happens to you, you can go here and create a case number then apple can take care it for you.

http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ then -> Contact Support -> Get iTunes support via Express Lane -> iTunes Store -> (Select) Purchase Billings & Redemption -> (Click) Continue -> (Select) Unable to purchase from iTunes Store -> (Select your device, OS, iTunes version, and country then click Continue) -> Now you can send email from here to apple to re-enable your Apple ID.

    Good luck!

So Apple refused to enable your AppleID after you contacted them?

    Chris, you are extremly rude.

BTW for people still searching, there are several issues do you have a pop-up that says, "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons" (the key here is security reasons). If so you can just easily change your password and move on with your life this is because (as it says here) the account was PARTIALLY disabled.

That being said, for the rest of us who have fraudulent charges and a pop-up that states, "Your Apple ID has been disabled." (most likely you requested a refund), Apple automatically disallows the credit card from being used in iTunes AND they have to re-enable your Apple ID and it is all done on a case by case basis. The best thing you can do is call, call until you're blue in the face.

    "Chris, you are extremly rude."

Not at all but thanks for playing! :)

"The best thing you can do is call, call until you're blue in the face."

Instead of getting blue in the face (for some unknown reason), why not simply email iTunes customer support?

No one wants your input Chris, if you cannot do it in a courteous RESPECTFUL way. Just refrain from participating. Treating people like you do is poor form. You're not clever, it's not funny, and no one deserves it, especially since most find themselves in these forums already very frustrated over an issue.

    Grow up joehorgan.

Please go read the definition of discourteous and disrespectful. You'll see that you were both and I was neither.

Since you don't want my input, why do you post to me?

I read this entire thread. People have made multiple requests for you to be nicer. It's simple Chris, be nice. And it's not that myself or anyone else does not want your input. If you have something to add, some knowledge or expertise, of course that is welcomed. You have made those posts. But you also make other posts where you are sarcastic and rude. Life is short and hard enough as it is, so it's simple, just be nice. And if you can't or don't want to be nice, just keep to yourself then. It's not personal man. Maybe you have had some bad days, whatever. People do not deserve to be talked to the way you have.
