iPhone 4 - Cannot receive or make calls and text messages

Earlier today, I realized that I was unable to text or call anyone, nor could I receive calls and texts. I took it to the Apple store, where they restored it for me... it seemed to be working fine. However, once I took it home and synced all my data back, it stopped working AGAIN! I can't send texts or call and I can't receive them either. So... I have restored my phone once again and it looks like it is working fine. What is going on here? Has this ever happened to anyone before? I read that I could restore my iPhone as a new device, but from my understanding I'll lose all my contacts and other various important information. Does anyone have any advice on this? Thanks 🙂

Welcome to the discussions,
if you restored your phone from your last backup on your computer, it seems this backup is corrupt and every time your damaged data is copied back to your phone making it unusable.
The only thing you could do to save at least some of the data would be syncing the contacts and events to your computer, after you restored "as new iphone" sync the contacts and calendars back. Use the camera wizard to copy the photos to it as well.
As app data, like game settings for example, is part of the backup, you'll lose these settings.
