ipod touch 4g screen repair

I got a 32 gig ipod touch 4g for christmas. I go outside a week later, slipped on ice and dropped it, and now there are cracks EVERYWHERE. Does anyone know where I can get it fixed for less than $100? Ive heard about taking it to an apple store and them giving you a new one, but im not sure how much truth is in that, and im not sure i want to risk buying a part and doing it myself.

I think it would be easiest to send it into a 3rd party repair company and have them do it for you instead.

I also recommend iresq.com - excellent service. Have used them many times for various Apple repairs. Very fast and professional.

You should try these guys I've found them and they have already repaired more then 12 of my broken iPod touch 4g screens. I due online resales and resell apple products. They are very fast and have great customer service and the best thing they only charge $50 for screen repairs for the iPod touch 4G! Check them out.

One other suggestion is if you bought it with a credit card check to see if you have any purchase protection benefits.I know AMEX doubles the mfg. warranty or provides 1 extra year if it breaks. I hate paying an annual fee but their purchase protection program has saved me a bundle over the years. They replaced the over 1 yr old I-touch when the screen got cracked.

Just by an AppleCare warranty so you dont have to worry about paying for multiple events that you can get free with the set given to you.
