ERROR:Could not complete request

I could not find an answer to my problem so I'm posting this messages for help. I have Squirrelmail working to the extent that I can login to webmail, set preferences, recieve messages and send messages. However, after a message is sent or I try deleting a message I run into errors of they type below:

---error given when trying to delete a message------
ERROR: Could not complete request.
Query: COPY 10 "Deleted Messages"
Reason Given: Permission denied

---errors given after sending and email------------
ERROR: Could not append message to Sent Messages.
Server responded: Permission denied

ERROR: Bad or malformed request.
Server responded: Unrecognized command

I recieve the message at the destination address - no problem there. Anyone experienceed and fixed similar issues? BTW, this is a server install and am doing the test with one user so far.

Problem fixed! Thanks to all who viewed this question. I went to the Squirrelmail discussion list at SourceForge.net and got a clue to my problem. Turned out had nothing to do with Squirrelmail. It was my Cyrus configuration file.

Poking around I had earlier changed the admin username from cyrusimap to soemthing else. That was the mistake. I looked at the default config file and changed it back, restated the mail service and have no problems deleting mail or having messages saved in the sent folder.

Turns out Squirrelmail is a web-based imap mail client. So be careful. Don't arbitrarly change ports or admin users in config files.
