    105 replies and 0 comments from anyone with real help that doesnt involve some extreme steps that SHOULD NOT be neccessary. There is clearly a bug that needs to be dealt with concerning the newest itunes and iphone iOS software. Please help so that we can use the device for its origincal purpose and listen the music we want to. I can only sync 1 song from any playlist I want and its absolute bologna (baloney).


    Fix it please.


    Seriously. Not cool.

    Complete reset and restore of the phone. Thats the only thing that seems to work. I tried all these tricks and solutions and some even seemed to work temporarily but then songs that were supposed to be on the phone apeared as songs I could download from the cloud, when I clicked the circle would spin then nothing. and more of the same issue described prevoiously. Im still having the search issue where if I do a home screen search for a song, it appears, then I 'click' on it, nothing happens.

    Using song rating as criteria causes smart playlist sync issues?


    I thought Match would be a great idea, but I still want a subset of my music physically on the phone. So then, even after I turned off Match, I've had issues with one of many smart playlists.


    I have a habit of listening to recently added music on my iOS device and then rating it for further use.

    I've had all other playlists sync except the one where I try to sync non-rated songs. So I can do recently added, not played, etc. I changed the size of the playlist, the name, etc but it did not help.


    As soon as I add criteria of "less than 1 star" or "in the range of none to 1 star", the playlist stops syncing to my phone. I have no problems of transferring playlists that 3-starred, or 4- or 5-star music.


    Does anyone else have this non-sync issue limited spefically to rating criteria with 0 stars?

    I had this issue, and what worked for me was posted earlier in this string:

    Update iTunes

    Go into Preferences -> Advanced > Reset All Warnings

    Go into Preferences -> Advanced > Reset iTunes Cache

    Sync iPhone
