Is there an equivalent to hccontrol or hcitool for Darwin?

I am trying to find a equivalent to "hcitool scan" in bash shell. I used "arp -a" to find my wireless MAC address but that is not working for bluetooth scanning. Anyone have any ideas?

MacBook Pro 13", Mac OS X (10.6.6), Unix (Darwin)

Not a direct answer, but a possible path?

Install Xcode from your DVD or join the developer program (paid or [free|http://developer.apple.com/programs/register>) and look in the /developer/applications/utilities/bluetooth/ directory.

There is some [Apple Bluetooth documentation posted|http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/DeviceDrivers/Conc eptual/Bluetooth/BT Intro/BTIntro.html], too.

Or depending on what you're up to here and whether scans are key to that or just ancillary [blueutil|http://www.frederikseiffert.de/blueutil> or the integrated Bluetooth File Transfer tool might be enough?
