How to relocate Apple Loops library to external drive?

Hi,

When I initially installed Logic 9 I also installed the 6 Jam pack Apple Loop cds onto my internal harddrive. However they're taking nearly 30 GB of space and as a guitarist I don't use them much.

Is there a neat way of moving the entire Apple loops library (6 Jampacks worth) to my external drive without disruption the functioning of Logic and Carageband? Would they still be accessible from Logic / Garageband?

I understand that pro apps can be a little temperamental when it comes to changing file locations etc
and I don't want to screw things up.

Many thanks

Mac OS X (10.6.5)
