Wireless Keyboard with Numeric keypad? why doesn't Apple make one?

i could do the function key swap deal but i just dont know how i could stop using F2 rename, F4 properties, F5 run, F7 create folder, F8 chrome run debug, F10 chrome step, F11 chrome step in, F12 chrome debugger

i think i prefer the look of apple & matias style gap between keys better

If i were to give up on aluminum the HP Wireless Elite Keyboard V2 has been around forever, with dedicated media keys and looks the most "desk flush" we'll ever find on batteries vs something like logitech k750 solar... that warning sticker in the lower right corner is a bit of a turnoff... that's good ol' brain dead corporate decision making at its best!

PC folks are about to get the same ALUMINUM wireless love with Microsoft "Modern" Keyboard with Fingerprint ID

with Matias shipping a backlit model now, in addition to their original play, we are finally looking well covered.

a little bird told me Matias is thinking about a PC version as well.

for my specific preferences, i'm still looking for something like these to be completely FLUSH to the desk with no incline.

and to scratch my itch for dedicated media buttons, both the new Apple and Microsoft boards _look_ like we can map the upper right F16-F19 to alternate functions (e.g. i have currently accomplished mapping the legacy wired apple full size Fkeys to Windows media functions via SharpKeys tool) ... unfortunately the otherwise preferable Matias models reserve those keys for multi-bluetooth pairing feature.

satechi looks decent but not aluminum, might as well go with the logitech k750

the k750 is the closest i live with but glossy plastic is getting old

the one exceptionally rare thing with the k750 is that it is truly flat to the desk with no legs at all if you dont want (there are ones you can fold out)... i assume i am the only person on the planet that doesn't actually want to bend my wrists while typing

the Microsoft Surface Keyboard is fairly new and should be considered but it's not aluminum either

i could strangle every bonehead industrial designer that thinks keyboards shouldn't have dedicated media keys.

if anybody is listening, separate keys, preferably along the top with a gap between typewriter keys SO WE CAN SLAM THEM IN AN INSTANT, NOT HAVE TO PRESS A FUNCTION KEY PLUS!!!!!!!

separate buttons for: mute, vol up, vol down, pause/play, skip, reverse

i.e. media key locations like the Logitech K360 but in ALUMINUM and with decent SWITCHES.

The K360 is a decent workhorse but its switches require too much travel and too much force for all day comfort.

"Matias" Corp has been showing a little love in this space...

they've had a wireless aluminum out there for about a year now, reasonably stocked at Amazon etc, so we can see the reviews... not stellar on the build quality... letters rubbing off

now they're promoting a backlit version due out June 2017 so it'll be interesting if they addressed general quality

These ABSOLUTELY UNAVAILABLE Digimore models are throwing darts into the right area of the board... but still

1) no dedicated media keys

2) not flush to the desktop

so basically in parity with Matias at face value and therefore nothing to really pine over... unless they actually are of better quality which is doubtful

at first glance the 802A looks more streamlined than the 801A but what happened to the home/end/delete/page up/down? (the "A" = multi-host)... there's an 803A that just copies what apple has had for brainless ages so who cares

Well, that's not very helpful just saying 'they have!' - perhaps u could point us in the right direction because from what I understand, they don't! Which is a little annoying and oddly inconsistent. I would LOVE a numerical keypad (I work with a lot of figures at college) and I'm sure any accountant u speak to does not want to be fumbling around with the horizontal array of numbers. *apple please make one ASAP! ;-)

I too have been patiently waiting for Apple to get around in making a full wireless keyboard. Unfortunatly the add-on numpad seems to be cheap junk if the reviews on Amazon.com are accurate.

For now I'll keep using my fullsize wired keyboard until Apple, or someone else, make a complete wireless model that isn't trash.

Definitely want a wireless bluetooth full size keyboard with numeric pad. The current wireless keyboard has something strange to the key layout that really messes with me, in addition to the fn key being in the control button spot.
