Hello , I recently got a MacBook Air and it works perfectly but i've noticed that when i put it on charge it and when i touch it at the metallic parts , it gives me a very light electrick shock like a very light vibration. It happens only when i put it to charge ... Please help me because im worried about it
I didn't contact with apple but i read that it's a grounding/earthing problem . i dont know what that really is but in the apple "
Hello." book that comes with MBA's , at page 55 , at the second paragraph , it's written "The AC power
cord provides a grounded connection." In my country is not used the 3 prong connection so i didn't tried it yet. _Can you try this and tell me if the feeling is gone ?_ .. Because if it works I will probably buy a new power cord that it's compactible in my country .
There are no apple stores in Ireland for instance (I'm not sure but appears that author of this thread is from Albania). Replacement require laptop to be send back to Apple repair service and may take up to 5 working days to obtain replacement...
I used to get that as well on my G4 Powerbook. You need a solid ground connection on your A/C adapter + wall plug. Try plugging it DIRECTLY into a wall socket that has known good wiring (ie, not the socket in a pre-war apartment building.)
