Error 1067 in services when starting apple mobile device

Hi everyone,

I usually fix the problem but I tried everything I can think of and the problem still persists.

How it started:
1)My homescreen on my iphone began to mess up so reset all settings (not erase) and then my homescreen was set to default layout!
2)I decide to connect my iphone to itunes so I can sync and have my old homescreen layout back

3)when I connect my iphone to iTunes, it gives me this message "this iphone cannot be used because the apple mobile device service is not started"
4)I restore my iphone using another computer, the message is still there with my computer but not the one I used to restore
5)I reinstall iTunes and all its components (even tried to downgrade)

Still not working!

6) I search Google for this problem and it says to go to Start> search> services and then restart "Apple mobile device"
7) When I restart iTunes and plug-in my iPhone 3G "Apple mobile device stops"
8) When I have my iPhone connected and try to starts 3apple mobile devices" in "Services" I get an error : "Windows could not start the Apple Mobile Device service on Local Computer, Error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly"

If someone could please help me!

Ps: I can't restore windows 7 because I didn't have System restore enabled so I don't have any previous restore points.

desktop, Windows 7

I reinstalled the drivers in Device Manager and I know get a message in iTunes "This iPhone Cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started".

But then again when I go to "Services and try to restart the Apple Mobile Device service (while my iPhone 3G is plug in) I get an the "Windows could not start the Apple Mobile Device service on Local Computer, error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly"

We might be looking at a conflict with another start-up item or service, here.

Try a clean boot of the PC, as per Step 1 of:

[How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135]

Attach the phone. Now try going into Services again, and try starting the service again.

Do you get the 1067 this time?

I already did this before but I did it again just to try!

After restart I turned Apple Mobile Device service on and then plugged in my iPhone 3G > I did not get a error message

BUT

When I open iTunes I get the message saying "Apple Mobile Device is not started" so I went back to Services and the Apple Mobile Device service had stopped so I restarted it (with iPhone plug in) and I get the "error 1067"

I don't get it, it seems everything I do makes it worse. Now my iPhone is not even listed in Windows "Computer" but it is recognized as an "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" in Device Manager.

Thanks for trying to help me, if only there could be a simple explanation

Had this message and problem around a month ago. Had to install an older version of Apple Mobile Support.msi
How to get it?
Uninstall your current Apple Mobile Support JUST THIS NOT ITUNES!
Download the 10.0.0.6.8 version of iTunes off of http://filehippo.com
Then Use 7-Zip(google it) to "View Archive"
Install the Apple Mobile Support in there.
Restart Computer
Open up iTunes. Plug in iPhone. Hallelujah I know 🙂

Can't use apple store though 😟. But I live in Canada so.... :P
Tried updating my Mobile Support got the same message and problem but now it shows up on My Computer now! 😀 Good start Apple. Because It's you to blame for this stupid bug.
