Hi,

My iPhone will not connect to my wi-fi network, or any network for that matter.

When I am in Settings --> Wi-Fi and attempt to join the network, the "search" icon keeps appearing near "Choose a Network..." and the checkmark to the left of the network name blinks on and off.

There is no connection; and I am repeatedly prompted to enter my network's passcode...though it does nothing.

I've reset the phone which didn't help. The phone is also updated.

Any explanations?

I am having the same issue. I have a 3G with 4.2.1 and when I have WiFi turned on the settings page flashes between Appiction (my company) and Not Connected. All my co-workers are on the same WiFi and are connecting with their various iPhones with no problem. I've tried connecting to a guest network with the same results.

As the original poster, on the Wi-Fi Networks screen, the checkmark beside the network I should be connected to goes on and off.

If you are unable to connect to the wi-fi network to select the network and view the network settings along with selecting Forget This Network to erase the network and settings from your iPhone, on your iPhone go to Settings > General > Reset and select Reset Network Settings. This will erase all wi-fi network settings from your iPhone for every wi-fi network you have connected your iPhone with. This will require re-joining every w-fi network you have access to when returning within range of the network.

If no change after this, try restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.

If no change after these two steps, more than likely your iPhone has a hardware problem with the wireless card or with something else. You can make an appointment at one of the Apple stores in Austin to have this checked and a hardware diagnostic check run on your iPhone to confirm if there is a problem with the wireless card.

Thank you...fellow Texan! I was able to Forget this Network and then rejoin and now I am connected via Wi-Fi.
