had to restore, now how do i get my stuff back on my phone?

I hate sounding stupid, but apparently I am. I had to restore my iPhone 3GS to original settings. It said it was going to restore all my contacts, but it did not, it is like a brand new phone. On my iTunes, it shows all my apps, and I'm hoping it still has all my contacts, but how do I get all that back on my phone?
I knew I was depending way to much on my iPhone, I feel totally lost! Can I get back everything that was on my calendar, etc?

Sync with iTunes. However, if you did not sync previously so all your data was backed up before you did the restore, then iTunes can only restore the last backup.

You should be syncing your contacts and calendars to your computer regularly.

Everything on your iphone should always be on your computer as well, and included in your regularly backup of your computer.

As mentioned, you should have your contacts backed up on your computer or with a program, such as Address Book for Mac OS X, because they are not backed up with iTunes, even you did backup and restore. It only saves settings, app settings and saved games and that's pretty much it. If you only have the contacts on the iPhone, then you pretty much lost them.
