Deleting Photos from Photo Booth

So previously, when I had deleted photos from Photo Booth (right from the application, not from the Finder folder), the deleted photos would go straight to the trash. They're not doing that anymore and I have no idea where they're going. When I open up the trash, they're not there, nor do they show up when I search for them. The only way I can recover my deleted files is through the "Undo deleted photo" function that shows up when the application is open and running. Still, I'd like to know where the heck these pics are going.

I haven't recently updated my software or anything. I'm running OS X 10.5.8, Photo Booth version 2.0.3.

Help?

MacBook (White), Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Where are they going? Normally, the deleted Photo Booth photo first goes to a temporary directory in /private/var/folders such as

/private/var/folders/cJ/cJRv shyFWq1BB4puATcjE++TI/-Tmp-/com.apple.PhotoBooth/IntermediateTrashDirectory/Photo 4.jpg

It stays there till you restart your machine or logout, at which point (normally) the photo moves from the IntermediateTrashDirectory to the Trash.

Because you're able to undo in PB, it sounds as if your "deleted" PB photos are staying stuck in IntermediateTrashDirectory.

How to revert to the old behavior? Perhaps running the combo update for 10.5.8 again will set things right.
