Does the new MAcBook Pro play BluRay movies?

Do the new MacBook Pros play BluRay DVD's? I have a 5 year old MAcBook that doesn't recognize the BluRay disc, and will probably upgrade this year anyways.

15" MacBook Pro, 13" MacBook, 20" iMac, Mac OS X (10.5)

You can easily connect a Blu-ray player to your Macbook Pro using USB or even have your built in DVD player replaced by a Blu-ray player.

Recent changes to MakeMKV and VLC also enables Blu-ray movies to be played 'live' on Apple Macs without having to resort to either file conversion or using bootcamp.

Although not super-easy it is well within the capability of the vast majority of Mac users. To Help I have written a how-to tutorial on my blog at www.TheAppleChap.com

For information regarding connecting a Blu-ray player to a Mac and basic Blu-ray file conversion, please see my how-to guide linked to below.

I can confirm that the movies look and sound fantastic and I encourage you to have a go if you have a Blu-ray drive attached.
