my ipad wont update

hi people need some help. my ipad wont update to the newest software 4.2.2 every time i have tryed to update it it comes up with an error msg 3259 ive looked on the apple site too see want this error is and have followed the instructions about turning off all my firewalls but there is still no go on the update i have also left it a few days and tryed again just incase of problem with apple but still the same error and msg about timing out. ne help

No promises but you might want to try a system Reset. Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" message if it appears.

A Reset does not delete any apps or data.

The latest iPad version available in iTunes is 4.2.1

ive been too this link before and followed the instructions about turning off my firewalls but still had no luck and have repeat this several time with restart to my computer and the ipad. i did mean the 4.2.1, ne other ideas? was thing abpout sending it off to apple seem its still under warnenty

have tried the system reset no luck. still the same error number 3259 and still the same msg networked timed out. cheers thou
