How to download bigger apps without Wifi

When I download apps my Iphone 4 tells me I need to activate Wifi to download it. Is there an option somewhere to tell the phone to always use 3G instead so i don't have to activate Wifi evertime I want to download? I think this only applies to bigger apps, last one i tried was 30mb+.

Ok this is my first iPhone it's the 7 plus and I am having this issue. But you couldn't be more wrong. All I've used is Android phones and I've always had T-Mobile. There is no download limit on Android I've downloaded apps 3-400mb with no problem over LTE which t mobile had truly unlimited uncapped. So to say all phones are like this when it's literally just iPhone is the most incorrect **** I've ever seen. And none of posted methods are working on my phone. Now I have to wait to get home and connect to wifi to download a big app on this stupid *** ios10

It's not that this wouldn't be possible by the software or hardware, but much more the fault of apple's average consumer.

If you could download files and apps, that are as big as you want, maybe even without a notification of how big it is, alot of people that have an iOS device would suddenly get huge Phonebills and dont know why. They'd suddenly blame apple for that, wich the want to prevent.

You cant change much on iOS to your prefrences because you can also **** alot of stuff up.

Now, im certainly not saying that the majority of Apples consumerbase is too stupid or anything, i like their products myself. It's much rather that most of them don't want to care too much about their electronical devices. It just has to do it's job and it has to do it good and fast and sleek.

That's why, as an ICT-Systemengineer i have an iPhone, but a Windows-PC (and Unix): On the go i don't need much, especially not some janky experimental stuff. It has to work to deliver me music, messages and videos. And for all the funny custom stuff i want to try out, my windows machine wond let me down.

Anyone know of another work around, i think Apple plugged this work around on the updates. I'm on latest IOS 10.3.2 and not working at all. Did the lock home soft reset and nothing. I am appalled that i have this limit now that i just upgraded to. Unlimited LTE high speed data with T-Mobile. THis is truly un-acceptable! I don't have home wifi, so that is the main reason I purchased the unlimited high speed plan from Tmoble. This is truly unfair as Samsung folks don't have that limit. I truly hope Apple listens to its customers. Many companies that didn't listen to the customers, are no longer viable. We are apples lifeline, the customer. Please Apple?

I'm so mad at Apple.... I go and purchase the 2017 iPad with 128gb and cellular, I have unlimited data and the things I want or need to download I can't.

If I had known this was going to be an issue I would have never spent another dime with apple.

My goal was to simplify my life by combining tasks and devices into one. I dont intend to purchase and maintain a separate wifi network just to get files on this device.

Apple you suck and I wish you would buy back everything we have purchased since IPhone 4 came out.

At a minimum you could have made the file size download an option that forced the user to agree they may be charged for the extra data used on phone plan.
