MacAir and Samsung CLX-3185FW

I install the printer Samsung CLX-3185FW on MacAir with cd included. The printer, with wireless connection to access point (and static ip address), respond to ping but the printer, in printer panel, is "inactive" (in printer properties) is "ready" and the printer doesn't print. The scanner utility works correctly. I update the driver with last version from Samsung site.

Hi.

Like you, I had significant difficulty setting up my Samsung printer. I've just successfully set it up to print wirelessly.

It turns out that the problem was my 1st router. I switched to different routers, set it up as recommended by instructions, printer was automatically detected by Bonjour and and wireless printing works fine.

I still don't know why my 1st router didn't work. Maybe it's the settings, maybe it's the router itself. But even when I used the same settings on my other routers (WPA2 security), it works fine.

I'd recommend you download the OS X drivers from the Samsung website, try resetting your router and try again.

Thanks.

Tim..
