CD burn icon won't go away!

A fortnight ago I loaded a blank DVD into my drive but after dragging two files over to the disc I decided I didn't want to burn it after all and ejected the disc. Ever since then I've had a yellow and black 'Untitled DVD' icon in my 'Places' list, alongside Desktop, my user folder and Documents. It won't go away, even when there's no DVD in the drive. Is there any chance I can make the icon go away.

Quad Core 2.93GHz, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

You can manually drag it out of the Finder window and let it go - it'll disappear.

Like he said, that should take care of it... if it doesn't I just have another suggestion does it have an eject icon beside it by any chance? But if its in places you should be able to click on it drag it of and literally poof gone.

I've been having the same problem, but none of those options work. If I try to drag it away, it just bounces back.

Same here. I tried ejecting it and tried dragging it. It's just stuck there and won't go away. So annoying! Anyone have any ideas? thank you.

Try holding command and dragging it to the trash. If no joy try, Going to your home folder>Library>Preferences - delete/trash the files labeled "com.apple.finder.plist" and "com.apple.sidebarlists.plist" and then restart your computer. Empty the trash once you reach the desktop. The untitled dvd folder & burn icon should now be gone from the Finder sidebar. Hope this helps
