It says I need to update even when I've finished updating.

My App Store icon has a red badge with a 2 in it. It tells me I need to update TextWrangler to 3.5.3 and iMovie to 9.0.2. I have already done that and I have looked at the About box for each app and have verified that they are already updated to those versions.

How can I get the update area to clear and the icon badge to go away?

Mac mini 2009, MacBook Pro, 3 iPhones, AppleTV, iPod nano, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

It's happened to me a few times too. I think it's just a bug we'll have to wait for a fix.

Hi David,

Try restarting your Mac.

If you are logged into the iTunes Store at the same time, log off there, then re launch the MAS.

Does the same for me.. keeps on asking for DiskCatalogMaker LE and Virusbarrier Express to update, and have updated about 7 times already.. restarting mac doesn't help me

Same problem I have three apps (SoundCloud, Text Wrangler. Twitter) that keep wanting to be upgraded - though they have been. other apps have not yet appeared. I have tried to restart and no iTunesStore active to no avail.

This happens to me as well. In my case with Smultron. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I had Smultron before "purchasing" it via the Mac App Store. It keeps indicating that it needs to be updated, but the current version installed is what the MAS wants to update to. Suspect this is just a small bug that Apple will fix soon.

Restarting the Mac doesn't resolve the issue.

Same issue with Alfred . . . I actually deleted app and it still wants to update it! And when you do, the app comes back! Apple - please help!!
