How do you access email folders; sent messages, deleted messages, etc?

I am new to iPhone but not to emails and mobile devices. I could not find out to access email folders like sent items, deleted items etc despite reading the entire manual. Also, how do you create folders for business in which to store various email messages?

Your answers are appreciated!

I am assuming you meant the folders on your PC/Mac (sent / etc..) being the same on your iPhone?

Easy answer, sorry you cannot do that on the iPhone. Wish I had better news.

If you want to see the sent / trash folders from the iPhone from emails you sent on the iPhone, just go into your email account click on the mail box in the "ACCOUNT" section and you can see those folders.

Actually if you are using IMAP or mobile me or exchange yes you can see all the same folders you do on your computer. I do it all the time. You just cannot create a new folder on the phone but you can on your computer and it will show up on the phone. You can then move messages to those folders just as you do on your computer. SMTP email is a different story.

Only if you are setting up the folders on the IMAP site, not if you are using Outlook and want to sync to Outlook customized folders.

I never said anything about Outlook customized folders but if you have them on the IMAP site they will be on your iphone just like I said. You were giving partial information. I was giving the OP more information.

If you have IMAP email account/s you can see all the folders you see on your computer.

I have 2 IMAP email accounts, one is a Google email account and the other is from my ISP (Sky) who also use Google for their email.

Now if I view my email account on my PC via my Internet browser, and create folders, for example SAVED EMAILS, EMAIL FROM ONLINE SHOPPING.

I can see these same folders on my iPhone by going into the Mail app, on the main Mailboxes screen I see all my email accounts. At the bottom of the screen there is an ACCOUNTS section. Now if I click on the Google email account for example, I then see all the folders that I could see on my computer. I can also see the TRASH folder, SPAM folder, DELETED ITEMS folder.

Hope this helps 🙂
