podcast service button is grey?

My podcast producer service button is grayed out. I cannot reconfigure it without getting an error. I get an error that says "podcast producer is unreachable". try to reconnect to the server A back end component may be missing. I also get an out of bounds error. I want to start all over with podcast producer with a clean install , but I don't want to completely restore my server. Anyone with suggestions would really be appreciated. thanks
