2010 MacPro - Can I use an old NVIDIA 7300GT card for 3rd screen?

I have a new 2010 MacPro with a an ATI Radeon HD 5770 card. I need to connect a third screen to the system but dont want to have to shell out for another 5770 card or buy that DVI Dual Link cable either as I have an old MacPro (1,1) with 2 x NVIDIA GeForce 7300GT cards in.

Can I take out one of those cards and run it in the new MacPro?

Give your MacPro 1,1 a 5770 and dump the 7300s before they die unless it is just sitting there. In which case that could fetch $799 probably or a bit more.

Gotta love the dual link DVI $199 proprietary cables and all that makes a 2nd graphic card make sense but only in Mac kingdom.

If you do heavy CS5 and can see the benefit of faster and smoother graphics, there is the $1195 CUDA capable Quadro 4000 from nVidia.
