I am using FCP 7.0.. and using CMD-E to just export and create a 1920x1080 Quicktime MOV file....
I thought I could just take that file and copy it to my DropBox folder and then see it with my iPad DropBox app... and then play it. I really don't want to use the iTunes sync for the iPad... it takes too long.
When I get the MOV file onto the iPad, there is no helper app to play it... hence my original question... Is there a good strategy for my intended workflow?
I regularly do this, but with an iPhone, not an iPod.
Stick to your butterfly-E export, then drag the completed file into Compressor. There are presets you can use. (Apple Devices folder) If you have Dropbox on your machine set the Dropbox folder as Compressor's destination, of not put the file Compressor makes into your Dropbox. The files will be iOS friendly and should take up less space in the Dropbox.
