The CAPT v3.30 for OS X 10.6 does not list the LBP2900 as a supported printer.
Users with OS X 10.4 who upgraded to OS X 10.5 also found that their LBP2900 would not work. Some smart folks found that if they copied the CAPT folder from 10.4 and replaced the same folder on 10.5 they were able to get the printer to function. But I don't know if the same could be done for 10.6.
If you had a Windows computer you could use this as a print server for the LBP2900. The Mac could then print via the Windows share using the following procedure.

I am not sure if this will work with Windows 7. It will all depend on whether the three utilities; Ghostscript, GSview and RedMon, can be installed on this latest version of Windows. Given the documentation mentions there being new versions of all three utilities in 2009, these may install fine on Win7.
