No visible LUNs but Xsan components are visible in Disk Utility

recently acquired a SAN system from another company, sort of a hand me down kind of thing. Not sure what they did to it before they gave it to us but when I'm in Xsan admin, I get the error message that there are no visible LUNs. I do, however, see two 2.7TB Xsan Components in the disk list. What do i need to do to get this operational. Thanks!

I've been over that setup guide several times. It does not resolve my problem.

With advice from another group, I am starting the whole thing back over from scratch by reformatting the entire array.

XSAN ADMIN is a servermgrd dependent application, the best application to deal with luns is directly from terminal with cvlabel command.

Hi Elan01

Firstly are you wanting to start from scratch or make the previous san work?

If you want to start from the beginning
An easy way to fix this is in disk utility select the drives you want to be part of your san and under partition make it as free space

If you are wanting to make a previous SAN work you will need the old .cfg file to start with

In the attempt to start from scratch, I noticed that one of the RAID cards is dead. Sending the unit back. Thanks for all the help otherwise folks!
