iPod touch screen stopped working

iPod touch screen stopped working

My iTouch was working perfectly, then the screen just suddenly stopped regestering that my finger was touching it. I have put it into recovery mode and restored from a backed up version on iTunes. I didn't drop or get it wet. Does any one have any ideas? I just updated iTunes to 10.1.2.17 ...this couldn't have done it could it?

64G iTouch OS4, Windows 7

There could be a problem with the Digitizer (Where the screen registers the touch), send it to Apple for repairs.

I've had probs w/screen freezes & auto locking (even though set to never lock) ever since I upgraded to IOS 4. I see that MANY other people are having the same prob so I'm confident it's a software prob. I see you have Win 7...wouldn't be surprised if there's a bug somewhere (between versions of itunes, your ipod & win 7)
