Large "Other" file

Large "Other" file

I have just synced my phone and before I had "other" as 0.47 gig and now it is 1.57 gig !

What is "other" and why did it soot up when I took songs off the device?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.5)

You have some corrupted files on your iPhone. A restore will correct the large other file.

Corrupt files can occur with an interrupted sync.

Other could be calendar events/contacts/favorites/recents/etc.

It should generally be less than 1GB.

A restore should resolve your issue.
