Q: DVI-I female to ADC male

I have an ancient Apple cinema display, 20", that I would like to connect to an 3-year-old Mac Book Pro. I need an adaptor for DVI-I female to ADC male. I'm not sure such a thing exists, and perhaps I need to cobble this together by connecting multiple adaptors. Any suggestions?

MacBookPro, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

You need more than a simple adapter. You need the Apple DVI to ADC Adapter which is a powered adapter that is no longer sold by Apple. They can be found on the secondary market, or if you are lucky as new old stock somewhere at a retailer.

They are hard to find these days. I suggest you try to get one immediately because they are no longer being made. After market sales are selling through their stocks fast. I picked up two of them at microcenter on Friday for $80 each.

Actually, that link isn't very helpful, since it says it doesn't have that product anymore. But I rang them up, spoke to a very helpful person who tracked it down and sent it over. Cost about $95.
