WPA problems "There was an error..."
This is a fairly common problem but I've tried a few solutions and it's not working.
I've got an old PowerBook G4 running 10.3.9 - it crashed a while ago and I reformatted the HD and did a clean install. But I can't connect to my Livebox (this is UK, Orange).
When I call up the Livebox in the Airport Menu I get the enter WPA window, and when I enter it the usual "There was an error joining" message.
I have used the Livebox on this PowerBook before, prior to reinstall.
I have connected to the Livebox via ethernet.
I have successfully connected a MacBook to the Livebox using Airport.
So everything else seems to be working.
One curious thing, in System Profiler, it says "Airport is currently turned off" even though in the Airport menu it's on. I'm running AirPort Extreme 3.4.2b1
Be very grateful for any help.
