problem copying multiple files to a Samba share

When copying multiple files(~60) to a Samba share (Windows Server 2003 machine) using drag and drop, I notice that immediately after the copying is done, about half of the files on the target drive just vanish. If I only copy ~30 or less files at time, it seems to work fine. I tried a 3rd party Finder alternative, Forklift, I can copy, using drag and drop, 100+ files to the samba share without problems . I'm running the latest OSX 10.6.6. Is this a known bug in Finder, OSX? Thank you in advance.
