Legal Or Illegal? (iTunes giftcards)

Helo folka

I have noticed when I was in a tour in Thailand; shops were selling iTunes gift cards! And as I know its illegal to use them out of the US.

Am I right? Or Is it okay ?

No it's not.
iTunes gift cards are available around the world.

But I heard the seller says to a customer we'll have to set you a US address, he replied I have nothing to do there, the seller said Never mind we'll set a fake one.

Thats Why I thought this would be illegal.

It would probably help if you took the time to make your post clear.

If you're saying the vendor was selling US iTunes cards outside the US then yes, that probably isn't legitimate. If on the other hand they were just selling local iTunes cards there's less reason to assume there was anything wrong going on.

Many iTunes purchases are limited in different countries for licensing or other legal reasons - not just books and songs, but also apps. The iTunes account has to be limited to the country of registration, and an iTunes card needs to be the same country as the iTunes account.
