Using Bootcamp to work remotely

I work in tech support supporting pcs (but only own macs at home!). Since this winter has been so awful I have missed work because I was not able to get to the office. We have the option to work from home BUT we need to run Cisco based apps to access our phones, which means I can't because Cisco doesn't support mac for the phone software. So.....bootcamp may be my solution but I know NOTHING about it. Any advice?
