iPHONE 3G ERROR 36

Hi everyone,


Last night i charged my iPhone 3g (OS 4.2.1) thru cable connection to my laptop.
When i woke up i tried to turn on my iPhone but to no avail..i tried many times but i got nothing. My iPhone is totally in black screen.

I connected to my laptop hoping it would sync with iTunes but what i got is a message " your iPhone is in recovery mode and could not use iTunes".

I tried to restore and got connected to the apple server restore. After almost 4 hours the download completed. During the restore process a message appear "THE iPHONE COULD NOT BE RESTORED. AN UNKNOWN ERROR OCCURED (36)".

Does anybody out there who has a knowledge or idea how to fix this error?
Please i really need some help because been three days my iPhone is off, i cannot turn it on.

Any help would be very much appreciated..
