Application Blacklist

Why can I buy blacklist apps in App Store which have no use? I have a 4 S since 4 days. With my nokia it is not a problem to install a working blacklist application and to avoid all unwanted calls with a single tip. And the most wanted I phone 4 s (super?) cannot provide a solution for this??? That is sad and I am really thinking of returning my 4s.

If unwanted phone calls is a valid reason to return your phone, maybe you should try paying your bills on time so the collectors stop calling you.

It's a fairly simple matter to assign a silent ringtone and a custom vibration pattern of none to any number in your address book.

I understand the need for such an app. You can't assume that someone is not paying their bills as a reason to want to block calls.

There was several months when I was getting calls from collection agencys looking for the person who had my phone number before me. Of course to verify that I wasn't that person, they wanted my SS# which I then refused to give. I eventually changed my number. It took a few times of changing it to stop getting someone else's calls but I finally have a good number. My phone should not ring unless it is someone that I am expecting to call me.

To the OP, the iBlacklist app in the iTunes store is a fake and does nothing. The only real iBlacklist is available through other means.

In the U.S., most major carriers offer some type of call blocking. Verizon, for example, offers limited blocking for free and more for a fee. There should be no need to change your number or return your phone.
