Ipad unable to find my HP Laserjet 1536 printer

I have a HP Laserjet 1536 printer, which is on the list of Airprint capable printers. The printer is attached to my wireless network with an ethernet cable to a router, it is NOT connected to my Dell PC with USB cable. I am able to print from my Dell to the printer from all applications. When I try to print from the Ipad it does not find the printer. Can anyone help? Thank you.

The Laserjet 1536 needs a firmware upgrade to get AirPrint capabilities.

You need to download an application for your Mac or Windows box in order to download the firmare. You can get it from here:

I just bought a HP laserjet1536 printer - do you know how I can scan directly to an email using outlook for mac?
