external monitor on Bootcamp windows 7? (IMAC)

I am having problems with getting my external monitor to work in windows 7. It works properly with mac. It seems that the problem is that is does not detect the screen, as there is only 1 screen detected so i cannot choose a second one. I am using that mini port to VGA adapter.

I hope you can help me.

I have the same problem with bootcamp xp. External monitor (Acer) screen also shows no signal. I looked everywhere. No solution. Some people said it's graphic card driver problem, that we need to update it, and I did, but still the same. Maybe it works with your Imac?

Had the same problem after installing Windows 7 with Bootcamp on a MacBook Pro 13 with the NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor. The graphics driver needed to be updated. I did this by going to /www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us and downloading and installing the latest drivers. Once this was done, my external monitor was recognized and Windows 7 worked as it should on my machine.

i had this all figured out, kind of, but i had to leave my macbook pro open (with a black screen) and all worked..but then i had to play around, and i checked a box, can't remember which one tho....next thing i know...external display and laptop display r black.....after playing around in safe mode and not getting anywhere i used my fire kindle and figured out how to boot back to mac......and now i am here asking for help...

any insights.....

running early 2011 mac with lion, and bootcanp win 7

Worked great, updated the drivers, but what a dog's breakfast! glad I don't deal with Windows on an ongoing basis...
