I am having the same problem... were you able to finda solution yet? I do not have a firewall and everything else seems to work fine...

Change your DNS to 8.8.8.8 and then re-connect. After having registered, be sure to switch your DNS to the original value or you will find that your internect connection will be very slow.
I had the same problem, so took it to the Apple Store and the tech went to the settings and turned the "Airplane" mode ON which cuts the phone off from all commuication. She left it OFF for about a minute then switched it back ON. Like magic, Facetime was back. She said doing that in a way resets the communication connections on the touch. Hope this helps.
Well i tried all your suggestions and its still not working....it lets me sign in after i facetime a friend it says facetime failed.
What else could i try?
I'm having the same problem, tried the airplane mode thing, didn't work. Any other suggestions? How do I check for a firewall? Everything else is working and downloading just fine.
I have a 4th generation Ipod Touch with which i was able to use Facetime..Unfortunately i had to reset my Ipod recently and now cannot log into Facetime any longer. I`ve had to reset my Apple ID so many times it`s unreal. Once reset ...as i log in..it never gets to the verifiying part ..it just switches back to the loggin page ...
I ma clueless in what to attemp next. Anyone with the solution to this problem ?

Hi, I'm having the same problem you did. I also reset the iPod and now everything but FaceTime works, How did you fix it? Have tried the Airplane bit and also lengthy conversations with Apple support but no-one seems to have the answer.
My face time is not working It says my email is wrong
When it is right and I even double check then it says it will send me a verification link but it never does and I read u can reset your iPod touch and it should work I reset mine went right to FaceTime changed my account and everything but it still says its wrong please help
