Using EWQL Symphonic Orchestra

I am trying to install EWQL Symphonic Orchestra with Logic Pro 8. Right now, we cannot find it in our plug ins. We have installed EWQLSO in the App folder. Does anyone have any suggestions?

That's nearly true. I can still run mine perfectly on Kontakt 2 with Logic 9.1.3.

FWIT, most users agree that the Kontakt version runs better than the Play version, so if you get Kontakt 2 or higher, you will probably be well pleased with the library.

And then, obviously, the plug in you would look for and load would be Kontakt, and then load the EWQL library from within there.

You don't need the full version of Kontakt, their free/lite version of Kompakt Player will run those libraries just fine. Go to the native instruments website and download Kontakt Player 4.1. You'll need to run the Support Center app to authorize the library and then it should work fine. If you want more features you can upgrade to the full version of Kontakt, for me it has been a much better way to run those libraries than the PLAY version.

their free/lite version of Kompakt Player

This player was only supplied by EastWest, not by Native Instruments even though Native Instruments wrote this program.
If you're running a PPC Mac, yes this will run fine because KOMPAKT is a PPC program only.
If you're running a Intel Mac, KOMPAKT will still run but under Rosetta on an Intel Mac but you won't be able to see this in Logic if Logic is running as an Intel application.

I've actually seen people copy over thier Logic PPC to an Intel Mac and they can see the KOMPAKT player, but that's only because Logic is also running under Rosetta as a PPC program, not an INTEL program.

I could never get the Kontakt 4 Player to work with my HardCore Bass and Stormdrum 1 but at that point didn't care because I have the Full Version of Konkakt 3.5

Just to point out, Kompakt and Kontakt are two different programs, i'm not typing a typo in these names. I was confused about that as well.

Hello Newbie here,

Sorry to ask on this thread but I can't see a link to start a new post, and it's related to this topic.

EWQLSO Platinum is 117GB, how much is samples and how much is the application/plug-in? I'm thinking of getting a small SSD for my OS/Application drive and need to know how much GB drive I'll need (smaller the better IMHO).

Also I'll be using Storm Drum 2 Pro and Symphonic Choirs which I assume will be a certain amount on Application and certain amount audio samples. Does anyone know the sizes.

Logic Studio is 9GB right with the other 38GB able to be installed on another drive?

I'm currently using about 13GB for my OS/Applications drive with just OSX on it.

Therefore can anyone fill the sum for me please

OS/Applications: 13 GB
Logic: 9 GB
EWQLSO: ? GB
Storm Drum Pro: ? GB
Symphonic Choirs: ? GB +

Total GB needed for my OS/Application drive = ? GB

Hope you can help.

Kind Regards.
