Question

voices soft-music loud

My ipod mini has currently been giving me sound trouble. the singer's voices are too quiet while the music is at the volume i set. the voices are like wispers at best. HELP! ! ! ! !

I have been experiencing the same problem...the music beat sounds normal but the voices are very low almost to the point where you cant hear the lyrics. I have not downloaded any new songs, these are songs that use to play fine and now sound distorted. I was thinking about restoring it to see if that would fix the problem...have you tried that yet?? if not I am going to call support to see if they can be any help. If they give me a solution I will let you know.

i tried restoring ---- and it didn't work! i hate this! i was so happy with my ipod and now if i get acessories they might be for nothing. the worst part is- i am listening to the songs on itunes with my computer and they are perfect. i am so mad! if anyone has had problems or knows solutions please post them, it would mean so much. thanks.

OMG! IT'S A MIRACLE! i took the advice of The Truth (thank u SO much!!!!!!) i went to settings, then to EQ. a menu of classical, bass reducer, etc came up. i'm not sure how it worked so my advice is to have a song paused (if this is a problem u were expirencing) and then click an EQ option. press play- if it doesn't work pause it and click another etc etc.......... If you still are having problems, it is probably the ear-buds. The stock ones are cheap, and break sometimes. Call 1-800-MY-APPLE and follow prompts (they may give you the # for Applecare). If your iPod is under warranty they should send you new headphones free of charge.

In the meantime- try it with other headphones.

Yeah, I tried changing the headphones(more than once), I tried resetting it but nothing worked. I'm shipping it out to Apple and hopefully they can fix it. The funny thing is that I just got the stereo for the ipod and it sounds great...go figure!!!

maybe you set the equalizer on the ipod to a certain setting to make it sound like that.

i have listend to the files numerous times and they were perfect. i copied them from a cd. i have never had anytrouble before this with my ipod mini. please help!

Same exact problem for me. I have owned mine for just under a year, so it is now in the process of being shipped off to Apple!! I'll let you know how it turns out.
