iCal and Sync conflicts

I have been through all the forums and found bits and pieces of answers, but nothing that will solve the entire problem I have been having.

My iCal will sync one calendar and one calendar only from my iMac to the Macbook Pro and my iPhone. I spent the day yesterday putting all the events into that one calendar so it would sync across the board and now iCal continues to pop up a box that lists a calendar event and then says,

"HTTP/1.1 409 Conflict"

I then have two choices: Go Offline or Revert to Server.

Regardless of which one I choose, it continues to pop up with every item that is listed on my calendar.

I just want my iCal to sync with my laptop and phone. It should be easy and simple but this is getting really frustrating and taking up too much time for a simple procedure.

I'm using the old iCal since I couldn't get it to update (it just sat there spinning when I tried) and I'm running 10.6.6 on both Macs. I have an iPhone 3G with the software up to date and a Mobile Me account.

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

I am also having a similar problem (but not exactly the same) ... I have spent hours on the phone with tech supports and tech support's "support! No one seems to be able to help. The issue is: The only place I have correct iCal data is on my iPhone 4; I own Mobile Me, but it's not syncing correctly with either my iMac, Macbook Pro or iPad. When I check mail, it does made changes as appropriate to various devices (e.g., opened, forwarded, etc.) -- but I can not get my calendar to transfer? I am getting concerned as I don't know who to print a copy of my iPhone's calendar and also don't know who to "tether" it onto the mac or pad???

I am getting the Verizon iPhone and need to be able to sync my calendar, but it's only on my phone. any ideas?

Sadly, Apple's been a bust. I do plan on taking my iMac (all twenty-seven inches of her) down to Genius Bar for assistance.

I have something quite similar broblems with iCal. actually iCal and iphone 4 calendar sync. When i put something into ical-calendar, set se the time etc and it looks good and my mac sync with my iphone the calendars does not work propely together. The times i setted just while ago changes. for example, i have meeting at 16 (4pm) and i sync with my iphone it might be at 5 o'clock (5am) ?? and also the times changes if i mark something into my iphone's cal and sync.. It is the right time there where i have originally setted but not into the other device.. Strange..

My Mac / iPhone office (several Macs, 2 iPhones) has the same problems plus several frustrating limitations in iCal (no To Do lists by date, no priority listings of events or ToDos, trouble synching calendars and events with other platforms, etc.). The geniuses at the Mac Store have suggested various workarounds, but they don't understand business needs and priorities well, and after some time and consultation among themselves, all finally admit that what we need can't currently be done on an iPhone.

APPLE: please fix these problems so we can effectively use our iPhones for business. Thanks.

I have the same problem as Kalen H. Support and "senior support" have no immediate solution. The pop-ups are so bad that I cant even use iCal or shutdown without switching off the desktop.

The problem seems to be the new MobileMe Calendar, which now can only works on your desktop/laptop iCal as an automated sync/ing image of the MobileMe calendar. But it seems MobileMe calendar cant handle certain types of alarms, or events with links to any files on your desktop. It also cannot handle deleted calendars. Its a mess.

And I agree with eyeless and all of you: the MobileMe functionality should be much more reliable by now, after all these years. I have cancelled my account: will wait for better things, just sync manually with iPhone. Trouble is: it wont let me cancel the MobileMe calendars on my iCal.......Mre and more like Microsoft every day!
