Why does word startup when Mac is turned on?

Why does Word startup when computer is turned on? I looked in my startup menu and it is not there.

Mac OS X (10.4.11)

By startup menu do you mean

System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items

Is there a Word doc in there?

Hold the mouse down on it's Icon in the Dock, is Open at Login checked?

Hi I have a similar question. I checked Docl icon and Login Items. Nothing there.

When my computer boots up I have all Microsoft programs running (word, power point, excel).

Please help me, it's starting to drive me crazy.

I have also tried to see if I can disable it in microsoft itself, but no luck.
