Instructions for our new Brother laser printer state that you must know the SSID (network name) and Network Key (Security Key/Encryption Key). Can anyone explain what this is and where I find it?

The Brother printer just needs to know this info to join your wireless network.

The SSID is the name you assigned your wireless network.

The Encryption key is just the password you assigned to join the network. Also the type of security ie, WEP or WPA.

These are all values you set in your router when you set up the network.
