I know, there have been multiple posts on this. However, I cannot get this error code to go away. I have followed advice from other people but nothing works. I have logged out of iTunes and the App Store. I have deleted all cache files that I could find in /Library and /User/Library that pertain to the App Store, iTunes and Apple itself. Whenever I log back into the App Store I am required to verify my billing information each time. I have rebooted my computer multiple times. I have done a full system cleaning using CleanMyMac application. I am still not able to purchase and download anything. What other options are available? Thanks...
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done.
Thanks for the reply, however it did not fix this stupid error 100 message. I already did the combo update a few days ago. I went and repaired disk permissions like you said, rebooted my mac, and tried it again. I'm still unable to purchase anything and still receive the error code message.
All of my billing information is correct. I have no issues when I purchase something from the iTunes store. It's the Mac App Store that I have issues with. However, I will take your suggestion and contact customer service. Thanks!!
Customer service wanted me to fix permissions on the iTunes music folder. This didn't fix anything either. However, whenever I try to buy something from the Mac App Store I know get a message asking if I really want to buy it and I have to click the Buy button. I still get a error 100. I have retraced my steps from my previous posts but nothing works.
