files get still deleted after copying to smb share

I'm still having the issue that after copying files via finder to an smb share after successful copy files get mysteriously deleted. This is really annoying as you never know how many files get successfully copied. I've to try sometimes multiple times till all files show up.

Mac OS X (10.6.6)

Me too. Steps to reproduce:

1. Setup a dozen large files (500+ MB)
2. Copy to a SMB network share

Copy completes without errors. At least 25% of the transferred files disappear instantly after the transfer is complete. No warning, no error, nothing. This is very frustrating. Just updated to 10.6.7 and it still does it.

Contacted support. They said Apple has been aware of this issue for some time. No word on when/if it will be fixed. Really helpful. I filed a Bug report via feedback to the Mac OS X team. Fingers crossed.

MacWow, so glad I stumbled upon this thread. I've been trying to find the cause of this issue for a while now. I was thinking it could be my router, my Windows box, etc etc. I've lost some important stuff because of this. Hope 10.6.7 fixes it.
