How do I stop my iPhone from auto correcting words incorrectly?

My phone has picked up the terrible habit of autocorrecting to "Thr" instead of "the". How can I purge "Thr" from the dictionary, short of restoring fresh?

Hi Colin,

Try tapping Settings, General, Reset, Reset Keyboard Dictionary.

good luck, i dont know how many times ive reset the dictionary, but all the words i dont want remain
