Viewing my webcam (IP address) on my mac

Hi,

I have a webcam in my store that I can view remotely via the IP address with the login and password.

I have no problem accessing this on a regular PC, but on my Mac when I log into the IP address it shows the boxes where the video should be playing, but they are filled in with gray.

I know there must be a way to view it on my mac because on my iphone i can view it via an app called GV-iView, so it must not be a flash issue.

Does anyone know if there is anything I can download on my mac to be able to view my webcam from home?

Thanks!!

You need to use the jpeg viewer option. If you are on lion you need to open the java prefs in your utilities folder and it will promt you to update/install java. The geovision uses active x which doesnt work on mac. Or u could us a virtual machine but thats more of a bandaid. I prefer vmware and performance xp.

You would think since it works in ios that it would work on mac but i think geovision is being lazy. IMO

Note: if you get a message that you are not connected to the internet when installing java you need to connect to internet via ethernet. Its a lion bug.
