Wifi greyed out all of a sudden-NEED ADVISE

I have a touch with updated ISO4.2. the darn thing worked fine yesterday and up untill today, all of a sudden wifi is greyed out. I have done reset settings, ive reset the whole ipod and restored it and its still gone. HELP!! What do i do??? Please!!

not sure, 8G, iOS 4, how do you tell what generation it is?

Assuming that you've checked the obvious (is Airplane mode on?) you may need to restore again, but this time don't load your last backup -- set it up as a new iPod. Sometimes your backup is corrupted and re-loading it after a restore puts you right back in the same situation. Note that starting from scratch like this means re-doing all your iPod settings, preferences, e-mail accounts, etc. But if that doesn't help you can restore again and load the backup that you have now to put all these settings back onto the iPod.

It sounds like you may have accomplished all the recommendations of:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559
If not try them. The last recommendation is to contact Apple since it is a hardware problem.

Hi and thank you for your helpful information. I have contacted Apple, its definatly a hard-ward problem...apparently happens to them about every 6 months... Options are to send it in they will send me a new one IE:refurbished and that is warranty for 3 months and can buy more warranty for one year. cost is 109 CAD. or call someone that can fix it, as i did and they can fix it for 106CAD at my local cell planet store. (only one that fixes it in Penticton BC)
